Wyland has been a pioneer in the marine art movement since 1971. He has, to date, completed over 75 landmark murals, the “Whaling Walls”. throughout the world. Wyland’s worldwide efforts to create awareness for the plight of our world’s oceans through murals, paintings and sculptures have received international acclaim.

Wyland is recognized as the world's premier undersea artist. Wyland is perhaps best known for his large mural paintings ("Whaling Walls") which realistically depict beautiful and intricate underwater life. Wyland is equally accomplished as a sculptor who artfully communicates the beauty of dolphins, whales, manatees, fish, undersea plant life and more.

Expressing himself through his versatile talents, Wyland educates the world about the wondrous beauty and vital importance of preserving ocean life.
