How big is the lion?  Between 200 and 420 pounds, and about 6 feet long.

Where does the lion live?  In the tropical grasslands of Africa south of the Sahara (there are also a very few left in regions of northwestern India).

Do lions stick with their families?  The females and their young do.  Lions live in family groups called prides, made up of about three males, 15 (usually related) females, and their young.

What are lion's favorite snacks?  Antelopes and Zebras.

Do newborn cubs have spots?  Yes, newborn lion cubs are covered with spots, and are helpless at first - they stay hidden in the grass for the first few weeks of their lives.

Why is it important that lion cubs play with each other?  Cubs begin to play with each other at about eight weeks old - it strengthens ties between the lions and is good practice for hunting.
