What are the African elephant's favorite snacks? Grass, leaves, twigs, bark, roots, and fruit (It eats about 330 pounds each day!)

What is the expected life span of the African elephant in the wild? African elephants can live as long as 78 years. 

What do African elephants use their trunks for? All sorts of daily activities, such as smelling, feeling, grasping food, and spraying themselves with water and mud.  

Is it true that African elephants are pregnant for almost two years? Absolutely! Adult female elephants have a gestation period of nearly 22 months - the longest of any mammal on Earth.
