The Bear wears a tag with information about Elvis' Military Service: "This commemorative bear 'GI Blues', fondly remembers Elvis Presley's service in the U. S. Army. Inducted on March 24, 1958 and stationed at Fort Hood, Texas for basic training, Elvis then served in Friedberg, Germany for 18 months. Elvis is promoted to Sergeant in January 1960. Pricilla Ann Beaulieu's father is stationed at a nearby Air Force Base, and she meets Elvis at a party. Elvis was honorably discharged from the Army on March 5, 1960." |
